FAQS

Getting Started

What is Copped?

Copped is a marketplace for buying and selling pre-owned, vintage, handmade, upcycled and other eligible fashion items.

We bring buyers and sellers together while Copped manages the transaction process, including payments, delivery and eligible authentication services.

How old do I need to be to use Copped?

You must be 18 or older to create and use a Copped account.

Do I need an account to browse Copped?

You can browse Copped as a guest where available, but you'll need an account to use features such as buying, selling, messaging, saving items and following sellers.

Is Copped available outside Jordan?

Copped is currently designed for buying and selling within Jordan.

Buying

How do I buy an item?

Found something worth copping? Add it to your bag or proceed to checkout, enter your delivery details, choose your payment method and place your order.

Copped will take it from there and keep you updated on your order.

Can I buy items from different sellers in one order?

You can add items from different sellers to your bag, but items from each seller are checked out separately.

This allows each seller's pickup, delivery and order status to be managed independently.

What payment methods can I use?

Available payment methods may include:

  • Cash on Delivery;
  • Cliq on Delivery; and
  • online payment methods available at checkout.

The options available to you will be shown during checkout.

Can I contact the seller before buying?

Yes. Use Copped's in-app messaging to ask relevant questions about the item, such as measurements, fit, condition or other listing details.

Keep communication and transactions on Copped.

Can I ask the seller for their WhatsApp or Instagram?

No. Copped messages shouldn't be used to move a transaction off-platform or exchange contact information for that purpose.

Keeping the transaction on Copped allows us to manage the payment, delivery and any applicable support if something goes wrong.

Can I cancel an order after placing it?

Order cancellations are limited once an order has entered the fulfilment process.

Where cancellation is still available, you'll see the applicable option or can contact Copped Support.

Repeated or abusive cancellations may result in account restrictions.

Delivery

How does delivery work?

Copped arranges delivery through its approved courier partners.

For a normal transaction, the courier collects the item from the seller and delivers it to the buyer.

If authentication has been requested or required, the item may first be sent through the authentication process before continuing to the buyer.

How much does delivery cost?

The applicable delivery fee will be shown during checkout.

Delivery charges may vary depending on the order or delivery requirements.

How long does delivery take?

Estimated delivery information will be provided where available.

Delivery times can be affected by seller availability, courier operations, location, authentication and other circumstances outside Copped's direct control.

What happens if I'm not available for delivery?

The courier may make additional delivery attempts in accordance with Copped's delivery process.

If delivery repeatedly fails, the order may be cancelled and the item returned to the seller.

Additional costs may apply where permitted under Copped's policies.

Are delivery fees refundable?

Generally, no once the delivery service has been performed.

Delivery fees are charged for courier services and are separate from the item price. This means an eligible item refund does not necessarily include delivery charges.

See our Shipping & Delivery Policy and Returns, Refunds & Inspection Policy for details.

Returns & Refunds

Can I return an item if I change my mind?

No. Copped is a peer-to-peer resale marketplace, so returns aren't available simply because you changed your mind.

Can I return an item if it doesn't fit?

Generally, no if the seller accurately listed the item's size and information.

Fit is subjective, particularly with pre-owned and vintage clothing.

If the seller materially misrepresented the size or provided materially incorrect information, that may be treated differently.

When can I request a return?

You may be eligible for a return where there is a qualifying problem with the item, such as it being materially different from the listing or having a significant undisclosed issue.

See our Returns, Refunds & Inspection Policy for the full eligibility requirements.

How long do I have to report a problem?

You must report an eligible issue within 24 hours of receiving the item.

Don't continue using, altering, washing or damaging an item while a claim is being reviewed.

What if the item arrives damaged?

Report the issue to Copped within the applicable claim window and provide clear photos and any other evidence requested.

We'll review the listing, item condition, delivery information and available evidence to determine what happened.

What happens to my refund if my return can't be delivered back to the seller?

Copped will follow its return-delivery process and make the applicable return attempts.

If the seller repeatedly fails to receive a valid return, the item may eventually be treated as unclaimed in accordance with Copped's policies.

Authentication

Does Copped authenticate items?

For eligible items, Copped offers professional authentication through approved independent authentication providers.

Authentication may be requested by the buyer, requested by the seller or required by Copped.

How much does authentication cost?

Authentication currently costs 20 JOD per eligible item when requested by the buyer or seller.

How long does authentication take?

Authentication may add up to 3 business days once everything required to assess the item has been received.

Can I add authentication when I buy something?

For eligible items, yes.

Where available, you can select authentication during checkout. The item will go through Copped's authentication process before final delivery.

What happens if the item passes authentication?

The transaction can proceed and the item may receive a Verified Authentic badge.

Where applicable, authentication documentation may also be provided.

What happens if authentication is inconclusive?

An inconclusive result doesn't mean the item is counterfeit.

Copped may request additional evidence. If the item still cannot be reliably authenticated, a pending transaction may be cancelled and the item will not receive a Verified Authentic badge.

What happens if an item fails authentication?

A failed item will not receive a Verified Authentic badge and a pending transaction may be cancelled.

The seller will not receive the normal sale payout and may become responsible for applicable authentication or logistics costs.

Copped may also take action on the listing or seller's account depending on the circumstances.

Does one failed authentication automatically ban the seller?

No.

We consider the circumstances. Someone may genuinely have believed that a secondhand, gifted or inherited item was authentic.

Intentional, repeated or fraudulent counterfeit selling is treated much more seriously.

Selling

How do I start selling?

Complete Copped's seller setup, including your seller details, pickup information and preferred payout method.

Once you're set up, you can create and post eligible listings.

What can I sell?

Copped is focused on eligible fashion and related categories, including pre-owned, vintage, handmade, custom-made, upcycled/reworked, deadstock and eligible designer pieces.

Some categories have additional restrictions.

Check our Catalogue Rules before listing if you're unsure.

Does Copped charge sellers a fee?

Yes. Copped currently charges a 15% platform fee on completed sales.

Does it cost anything to list?

There is currently no standard fee to create a listing on Copped.

Optional paid services, such as authentication, may have separate charges.

How many photos do I need?

Every listing requires at least 4 photos of the actual item you're selling.

See our Photo Guidelines for what to include.

Can I sell an item with flaws?

Yes, depending on the nature of the flaw.

Copped allows items in conditions including Used – Good and Used – Fair.

Photograph and describe flaws clearly so buyers know exactly what they're purchasing.

Items presenting serious hygiene or safety concerns cannot be sold.

Can I list the same item somewhere else?

Yes.

But if it sells elsewhere, remove it from Copped immediately.

Repeatedly cancelling Copped orders because an item was sold somewhere else may result in selling restrictions.

Can I use stock photos?

Your listing must contain photos of the actual item in your possession.

Stock or retailer imagery cannot replace your own item photos.

See our Photo Guidelines and Catalogue Rules for details.

After You Make a Sale

What happens when my item sells?

Copped will provide the information you need to prepare the order for courier collection.

Package the correct item securely and make sure the Copped order number or parcel code is clearly visible on the outside of the parcel.

The approved courier will then collect it through Copped's delivery process.

Do I arrange delivery myself?

No. Copped arranges the applicable pickup and delivery process through its approved courier partners.

Don't arrange private delivery with the buyer.

How should I package my item?

Use secure packaging appropriate for the item and protect it from reasonably foreseeable damage during transport.

Fragile or delicate items require additional protection.

The Copped order number or parcel code must be clearly visible on the exterior.

What happens if the courier loses my item?

If an item is confirmed lost after successful courier collection and the seller complied with Copped's applicable requirements, the eligible seller receives compensation equal to 80% of the item's final selling price.

See our Shipping & Delivery Policy for eligibility requirements.

What if my item is damaged by the courier?

Copped will investigate using the available evidence.

Where a properly packaged item is damaged during the Copped-arranged delivery process, compensation may be provided depending on the extent of the damage, up to the applicable amount under our Shipping & Delivery Policy.

Seller Payouts

When do sellers get paid?

Seller payouts are released after the transaction has been successfully completed and the applicable buyer acceptance/claim period has passed.

Payout processing may take up to 7 working days, depending on the payout method and transaction.

How can I get paid?

Available seller payout methods may include:

  • bank transfer;
  • Cliq transfer;
  • supported wallet transfer; and
  • cash payout through the courier, where available.

The available options will be shown during seller setup.

Is there a fee for receiving my payout in cash?

Yes. Cash payout through the courier currently carries a 2 JOD cash payout fee.

Other payout methods may be preferable if you want to avoid this fee.

What happens if I enter the wrong payout details?

You're responsible for providing accurate payout information.

Incorrect details may delay or prevent your payout and could require additional support to resolve.

Check your payout information carefully before submitting it.

Listings

Can I edit a listing after posting it?

Yes, while the listing remains eligible for editing.

If information changes or you discover a flaw, update the listing as soon as possible.

Once an item is involved in an active transaction, certain information may no longer be editable.

Can I save a listing and finish it later?

Yes. Use Save to drafts if you're not ready to post yet.

How should I choose the condition?

Choose the condition that most accurately reflects the item.

If you're genuinely between two options, choose the more conservative condition and explain any wear or flaws in the description.

Do I need to add measurements?

Measurements aren't mandatory for every listing.

They're strongly recommended where sizing may be difficult to judge, especially for vintage clothing, tailored pieces, jeans, dresses and items with missing or unusual size labels.

Can I use hashtags?

Yes. Relevant hashtags can be included within your description.

Don't use unrelated brands or keywords just to appear in more searches.

Counterfeits & Restricted Items

Can I sell replicas if I clearly say they're fake?

No.

Counterfeit branded items aren't permitted even if they're described as fake, replica, AAA, mirror quality, first copy or similar.

What about dupes?

A genuinely unbranded item inspired by another design may be permitted provided it doesn't carry counterfeit branding or misleadingly claim to be made or endorsed by another brand.

Can I sell SHEIN or Temu items?

No. SHEIN and Temu are currently excluded under Copped's Catalogue Rules.

Can I sell used swimwear?

Yes, provided it is thoroughly cleaned, hygienic, accurately described and otherwise suitable for resale.

Can I sell used lingerie?

Certain lingerie, including bras, may be sold pre-owned if clean, hygienic and suitable for resale.

Used underwear bottoms are prohibited. Underwear bottoms must be new and unworn with original tags attached or in their original sealed packaging.

Can I sell used earrings?

Yes. Pre-owned earrings and pierced jewellery are permitted if they're clean, safe to wear and accurately described.

Can I sell used beauty products?

No. Beauty and personal-care products must meet the requirements in our Catalogue Rules, including being new and unused.

Some transaction, accounting, fraud-prevention, dispute or legal records may need to be retained after your account is deleted.
